Browntail cause itching, breathing problems and eye damage in humans.
We can turn this social burden into shared benefit.
Summer 2024: Capacity building.
This summer, we’re learning from potential customers about their experiences with browntail from seasons past. By investing in customer perspectives, robotics and AI development, we’re strengthening capabilities to improve safe and effective removals as the moths overwinter.
Fall 2024: Prototyping + Scheduling.
Developing and testing integrated drone and aerial lift robotics bring the latest in computer vision to browntail removal. Message us to request advanced access to our removal schedule, to see if we’ll be in your area for winter reservations as we pilot this new service.
Winter 2024: Removal + Research.
In addition to winter removals, we’ll also be exploring if a] browntail nest drone surveys can match or surpass ground surveying (in time + accuracy, when compared to traditional methods), and b] which biochar activation recipes might best benefit oak stand replanting.
